What is Krav Maga?
Krav Maga is a no nonsense self defence system developed for one specific purpose. To teach men and women, regardless of size, strength or physical fitness, practical self defence in the shortest possible time.
What is Tactical Krav Maga?
Tactical Krav Maga is an interpritation of Krav Maga by Itay Gil. Mr Gil is the President of Protect Israeli Security Solutions in Jerusalem and Chief Instructor for Tactical Krav Maga.
How is Krav Maga different to martial arts?
Krav Maga was originally developed for the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF). Since its original conception it has broken into three main streams of training. Civilian, law enforcement and military. Unlike traditional martial arts, the Krav Maga system is constantly tested and improved. In Tactical Krav Maga there are no coloured belts, katas or rituals, tournaments or competitions. In Krav Maga the only rule is that there are no rules!
Can I try a class before joining?
Yes, you are entitled to one free trial class. Regular training sessions are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7.00 - 9.00pm. Call 4145916 or 0275479650 to make arrangements.
Where are you located?
Our training venues are the North Shore YMCA, Akoranga Drive, Northcote and the Meadowood Community Centre, Meadowood Drive, North Harbour, Auckland.
How do I join?
We operate a limited capacity class, all students must be 18 years or above and regardless of background must attend a four hour induction course prior to joining our regular training sessions. These courses are held every month and are advertised in the events section of this web site.
Do you offer training to students under 18 yrs of age?
From time to time we have delivered training to students under 18yrs. This has usually been as a result of a specific request by a client and has been delivered by way of an adapted program. We are happy to discuss training options for groups or organizations where students are under the required age.
